Evaluate and diagnose orofacial myofunctional disorders
Provide clinical and practical application of a therapeutic program
Discuss the multidisciplinary connection between dental, speech, and orofacial myofunctional therapy
Implement a plan for referral and patient education
Christine Stevens Mills, SLP, COM®
Christine Stevens Mills is an IAOM Certified Orofacial Myologist and Speech Language Pathologist. She enjoyed private practice for over 40 years. Christine received a speech and hearing pathology degree in 1973 at Bowling Green State University. She completed 55 hours of postgraduate courses, 60 hours of advanced clinical practicum, and 100 hours advanced certification training at the Institute for Myofunctional Therapy in Coral Gables, Florida. Christine has served on the board of directors for the IAOM. In 1994 she obtained a position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy Orthodontic Department teaching a graduate course on Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, officially retiring from the University in 2015. Christine currently resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and continues to mentor, consult, lecture, and teach classes.

Keisha Nolan, CCC-SLP, COM®
Keisha is the Owner of Nolan Speech & Language Center. She is an experienced speech-language pathologist who specials in orofacial myofunctional disorders. Keisha is one of a select few of orofacial myologists in the State of Michigan. In addition, to patient care, she uses her expertise to teach orthodontic residents at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry and educates dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, and pediatricians through guest lectures. She also has training in cranio-sacral therapy. Keisha is a compassionate, dedicated, energetic and knowledgeable therapist with a strong desire to help improve the lives of others.
